Poor Social License.
It is a fact and well documented that the community has been impacted continually over a long period of time by significant odour issues related to Veolia’s current bioreactor operational activities.
This is only one element that has contributed to the community’s lack of trust in Veolia’s ability to operate a facility at Tarago.
Other issues include, but are not limited to, serious EPA breeches with respect to water quality.
Increases in breeches of waste trucking on rural community roads that are not constructed to withstand Industrial truck movements.
Veolia has successfully developed a lack of trust by its ongoing breeches which can only be interpreted as complete disrespect of our community, business entities and environment.
The poor social license afforded by Veolia has contributed to the devaluation of Tarago by comparison to other NSW regions and amounts to inequality and regional discrimination.
